A self-confessed birth nerd and lactation geek, Rhondda chose to make this passion her focus following a successful career in the corporate world. But when the time came to follow her heart’s true calling, she jumped with both feet into the world of birth as a birth and postpartum doula. Her mission is to provide you with the support, encouragement, information and resources you want, so that you feel confident in making your own choices about what is right for your family. Jae Steele

  • Postpartum Doula
  • Babywearing Educator
  • Nutritionist and Health & Wellness Coach
Ever since the first birth she attended at the age of 14, Jae has known that she wanted to spend her life supporting the well-being of parents and babes.

Jae holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery from Ryerson University, but is choosing not to practice as a midwife for now as she raises her young child as a solo mama. Jae has attended roughly 200 births, both in hospital and at home, and supported those families intensely in the postpartum. She is committed to evidence-based health practice, and informed choice – sensitively supporting clients in making the choices they feel are best for their family. She is also a registered nutritionist (Canadian School of Natural Nutrition), and has studied shiatsu, reiki and herbalism, and is the award-winning author of two vegan whole-foods cookbooks.

Mothering a delightful and willful one year old, she has plenty of first-hand experience with attachment parenting, including breastfeeding after reduction (BFAR), bedsharing, babywearing, and elimination communication. Motherhood has deepened her tender respect for the early postpartum, and the value of support for the gestational parent to heal, nourish and be nourished, and transition into their magical and challenging roll with their small new person.
